At Home with Brittany: Creating a Vintage Bathroom

You don’t need to spend a ton of money to create a room full of style and function. It was so easy to create a vintage and playful bathroom for my boys using products from Amazon. Here are a few of the pieces featured:

Light Fixture:

The focal point of the room is my vintage porcelain sink, so I didn’t want to take any attention away from that, but wanted some simple yet stylish lighting to finish the space. I actually purchased my lighting from Wayfair, but later found this 3-light fixture which looks exactly the same at a cheaper price. I opted for edison bulbs to complete the vintage look.

Soap dispenser:

This vintage soap dispenser matches the polished gold finishes we have throughout the bathroom and adds the perfect touch against the wood shelf.

Bath runner:

White is always risky in a kid’s bathroom, so I opted for an inexpensive runner that could be easily swapped out after time, just like this one.

Bathroom accessories:

I kept with the polished brass finishes throughout and found this beautiful Kingston Brass set (one of my favorite brands!) at a much cheaper price than anywhere else. I love the vintage Victorian look and the pieces coordinate beautifully with my Kingston Brass faucet.

Door knobs:

I wanted to make sure that my door hardware matched the rest of the fixtures in the house, so I added brass door knobs for some extra personality. I love the pop of brass against the blue doors. I actually had a very hard time finding reasonably priced brass knobs, but recently discovered these adorable oval knobs at such a great price.

I’m so happy with how the space turned out, and so are my boys! I still have a few finishing touches to add, so I’ll be sure to share any more finds.
